VISAWUS (Victorian Interdisciplinary Studies Association of the Western United States), a scholarly organization, holds its annual conference in Honolulu, October 27-30, 2010. See the full conference program posted here. Conference organizer is Dr Richard Fulton, a Society member.

The Caledonian Society is helping to sponsor 1) the lecture on Wed, Oct 27, at the Old Archives Bldg (adjoining Iolani Palace)  and 2) the series of panels on Robert Louis Stevenson on Sat. Oct 30 at the Pacific Beach Hotel. The public is invited to both these events.
